The Lafayette Inn is a wonderful gem I discovered in the countryside of Virginia, outside Charlottesville. It is a charming hotel that is really a Bed and Breakfast with wonderfully appointed rooms, friendly Innkeepers and staff, and a remarkable restaurant. The meals are sumptuous, with a very special dinner option that is to die for! That would be the Chef tasting for two which is like having a private wine tasting. With the Chef preparing fantastic samples of a wide variety of dishes, these mini meals are paired perfectly with featured wines from a very complete wine list. The result is a night of culinary perfection. No one who appreciates fine wine or fine food will be disappointed!!!!!! This Inn is a must for anyone traveling in this part of Virginia......Enjoy!

We were looking for a cool place to stay on our way home from Williamsburg and came across this inn. We stayed just one night but next year it may be more.
We had dinner at the inn and it was very good. We also had breakfast before we left and it was excellent also.
Overall a fun night at a cool old inn.

Excellent creative chef at restaurant--had a Creole dish, etouffee, and my husband had filet and a cream soup in a heaping bread bowl. No room for dessert!  We did see the couple next to us do the 10 dish tasting, and the food looked fantastic, but they couldn't go beyond #7. There was one error during dinner where they overcooked the med-rare filet to med-well, but they quickly and graciously replaced it and comp’ed us appropriately--sign of good managing team.
